Witness A Miracle

Today, I witnessed a miracle. It was amazing. A fellow RR family member posted her adoption situation- they have been in the process of adopting "Russell" (whom they plan to name Tanner) from Eastern Europe for a loooong time. He is already five years old, which is not a good thing for a child with DS, because they usually get transferred to the institution at four. Their entire process has been held up by one document. A family member owns their home and rents it to them. He refused to sign the document stating he owns their home and they are tenants in good standing. Why? He doesn't agree with what they are doing (adopting a special needs child as their first child). Finally, he told them they could have the document for $1000. Yep, you read that right. A family member told them for $1000, they could have a document. Something that would cost him maybe five minutes of his time.
Well, within minutes of the news, donations started pouring and by late this afternoon, the Montilone family had $1000. How AWESOME is our God? :)

In adoption news... I have none. :( But I am really hoping (and praying) that my fingerprint letter comes tomorrow!! Or at least before Friday!! Aiden has an appointment in Tucson on Friday and it would be great if I could just make one trip for both things- it would save on gas! :)
In other news... Kieran is consistently taking 2-4 steps at a time. I am so proud of my baby! Elijah is doing great talking and communicating his needs and wants. He even told me he loved me the other day AND asked for a hug! :) :)
Aiden was officially diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome on Wednesday, so he should be eligible for ABA soon, possibly respite, too- which means I would be able to occasionally get out of the house with just Kieran- or I could pay for a sitter just for Kieran and go out kid free. That is kind of a scary thought. Lol!! Not sure if this will work, but I am trying to upload a video of Kieran taking steps. Enjoy!
