Now that Annie is officially ours, we are getting REALLY close to traveling! I should know within a week or so just when I will be going to pick her up! That being said, we still need to raise about $5000. Plane tickets are more than I had anticipated. We are still hoping that by some miracle, Evan will be able to go and I will be asking his unit to consider it in the next few days.
In the mean time, I am offering up this gorgeous table runner to one of our amazing supporters. This table runner was hand made by a special lady, Nancy from Cache Creek Quilts. Nancy does AMAZING work. I admit, I am a little envious! My baby quilts look nothing like Nancy's handiwork! I purchased a pair of potholders from Nancy back in May. I was STUNNED when they arrived because they were so much nicer in person- the stitching detail is exquisite! When a good friend of mine loved my potholders, I kept an eye out for the same pair, as Nancy occasionally lists sets that are similar to a previous set. When Nancy didn't make any more, I contacted her and she went out of her way to make me another pair as similar to the first as she could. Again, AMAZING. Oh and I have never burnt myself with these potholders, unlike all of the store bought ones I've ever had. I've been wanting one of Nancy's table runners for a long time, not because I've ever used a table runner before, just because they are so beautiful and I've been thinking she probably showcases the same beautiful stitching on her runners as she does on her pot holders. When this little beauty arrived, I was giddy. Yep, it is just as beautiful as my potholders. Maybe more so. Here are some more pictures...you should click on them to enlarge them to get a better idea of just how awesome it is.

That's it, it's that easy. It would be amazing if we could raise enough to pay for Annie's plane ticket home, estimated to be $600. I know that is a pretty lofty goal, but I'm turning it over to God. Oh... and you'd want the chip in link to donate, right?
Thank you to everyone! I wish I could give all of my wonderful friends and family a table runner. Even if $6 doesn't seem like much to you, our amazing Lord will multiply it, just like the loaves and fish. Even if all you do is repost this, maybe that is all God is asking of you. They say it takes a village to raise a child- it takes one to bring home an orphan, too. Annie is just one child among 147 million orphans, it may seem futile to give one child a home- while bringing Annie home may not change the world, it will change Annie's world and ours. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support.

P.s. If you get a chance, head on over to Nancy's Etsy shop for some beautiful pothotlders, quilts, and table runners. :) Here's her link again! Cache Creek Quilts.
P.p.s. If you are wondering, Nancy didn't pay me to advertise for her- I really admire her handiwork that much!! ;)
