I missed a picture

But I suppose it deserves its own post. A picture of two pictures of Annie. One was her referral picture, on a magnet. The other is an ornament made at school. Real school. Kindergarten. With her typical peers. Mainstreamed. :) That makes my <3 so happy.

I am so horrible

at posting on my blog. I freely admit it. Fail. Ahhhh... Such is life. I accept my failure. Hopefully in 2012 I will do better, because there are things I want to document, to remember. I want to remember the very first time each of my kids said Grace (since Thanksgiving, we've been making it a habit to sit down and eat dinner together every.single.night, rather than feed the kids and find something to eat once they are in bed as we used to). I want to remember realizing that Annie feels empathy, while empathy is something Aiden struggles with. I want to remember the way Kieran's voice sounds right now, all sweet soft, at odds with the little whirlwind of little boy energy that is Kieran. I want to remember all of the Elijah-isms, as we call them, like wanting star baby tea (strawberry lemonade). I want to remember how last night he was crying about rain drops (we still haven't figured it out), so I grabbed a cup of water, hid it behind my back and sprinkled drops on him with my fingers. The look of happiness in his eyes, this child of mine who struggles so much with every day life. Priceless. Here are a few random recent pictures, Christmas and whatnot. In just two days my firstborn turns 7, I can't believe it. And now, off to work on his gifts!
